This is a much more effective way to keep the "no name" papers neat. I check papers all the time, so my sign doesn't have many pegs on it, as anything that goes up there doesn't stay long. Kind of like Amber stated above, if they don't claim it within a few hours, it goes into my "blue bin" (recycling). The NO NAME sign really worked! It's now June and I NEVER have to use it. I also have a sign in my hand in bin in the shape of a STOP sign that says STOP! Is your name on this? Students have to lift the sign up to submit a paper, therefore making a tacit agreement that they HAVE put their name on the paper. Both of these things combined made my life much easier. I plan on using the same system next year too! Too see my NO NAME board ( I made it for about $3) check it out here: http://teachingisagift.blogspot.ca/2012/08/back-to-school-madness.html.

Sidney
TeachingisagiftMs.M from Teachingisagifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10482334866440146334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979799310335591814.post-43637266721367546972013-06-08T23:50:29.711-04:002013-06-08T23:50:29.711-04:00That sounds like an awesome plan! I occasionally have to remind them to check it. The tray is right by my desk, so if I happen to be there and they come up to me there they always see it and check through the papers.Amy Alvishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06719323597192843121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979799310335591814.post-27691931581860135402013-06-08T22:47:05.835-04:002013-06-08T22:47:05.835-04:00Brilliant idea- making my sign tomorrow. Ever. So instead of an adorably labeled bin, I have to wait until everyone else gets their paper back and then announce "Whoever didn't get their paper back, it's going into recycling in 10 seconds unless you come on up!" Harsh, but one less bin to worry about. ;)amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15252920643013195783noreply@blogger.com
