There were so many people that my students needed to learn for the American Revolution. I don't know about your state test, but in Indiana the test is very specific. We start the unit by labeling the parts of a graph using the "Parts of a Graph" poster from my Graphing Posters and Interactive Foldable Graphic Organizer set.

Foldable Friday: Quadrilaterals
My 5th graders need to be able to identify quadrilaterals by their attributes. This interactive foldable graphic organizer helped them to organize their information.
I drew this on the board as a flow chart to help them remember that most of the shapes could also be called something other than their exact name.

Foldable Friday: Circles
We started our geometry unit with circles. Since my fifth graders didn't have much background knowledge on circles, I created this interactive foldable graphic organizer and poster set. I started out introducing the different part of the circle, so that they could then apply that knowledge to finding the diameter or radius when given the other one.
